Sample of a week itinerary


Day One 

Arrival at the Hotel Aqualange, your home for the next week.
After a while to settle down, relax, and meet the rest of your “classmates”, we will tour the town to become familiar with your new surroundings and talk about the next 7 days.

Visit to the Roman baths to have a thermal circuit.
Around 9 pm we will gather in the dining room to have dinner.

Day Two 

After breakfast (8.30 am) we will dedicate the morning to have a guided tour of the monumental city of Cáceres, declared a World Heritage city. A guided walk through the medieval town and walls, visiting the most important monuments, including the Moorish “algibe” (underground water deposit). Lunch and return to Alange.

After a short break to relax we will spend the next 3 hours having our first cooking class dedicated to the most typical Spanish dishes.

All the dishes prepared during the class will be tasted later on as our dinner and they will be accompanied by wines suitable for the occasion.

Day Three

After breakfast we will depart for a visit to an olive oil “almazara”(oil mill), a winery and cheese maker; includes tasting and further explanation from the experts

Lunch and back to the hotel for a short break before spending the next three hours in the kitchen, where we will have our class of Basque cuisine followed by dinner.

Day Four

After breakfast we will go horse riding or visit a fighting bulls farm. Lunch and back to the hotel where we will dedicate time to relax or a short nap followed by Catalonian cuisine class. The dishes will be tasted with selected wines to pair these dishes.

Day Five

Breakfast and departure to visit a nearby village to enjoy our traditional “fiesta” and traditions (Possibility of attending a bullfight). And after we will dedicate the next three hours of cooking class to elaborate Tapas.

Day Six

Breakfast and departure to Merida for a guided visit to the capital of the region, ancient roman town and also a World Heritage City. A town full of history, packed with roman monuments.

For dinner we will be visiting a number of “bares” where we are going to enjoy tapas as any Spaniard would do.
Back to the hotel whenever we feel we have had enough fun for the day.
 

Day Seven

After an early breakfast we’ll go for a visit to one of the following cities to choose from: Salamanca, Cordoba, Seville
or Évora (Portugal).
It includes local guide and lunch.

Return to Alange for dinner and a well deserve night sleep.

Day Eight

Breakfast and farewell
